Restaurants In Athens:
Athens, GA has been ranked for many years as one of the best college towns in America for food. We are known for our Southern cuisine and craft beers, with over 50 restaurants and 3 breweries. Check out some of these places for some good food and a great time!
Mama's Boy:
Known for its breakfast food, it is truly the spot that EVERY SINGLE UGA student has gone to and brought their parents. Open early and closing at 2 makes it pretty busy but it is SO worth it!

Blind Pig Tavern:
If y'all are looking for good pub food, definitely should put this one on the list.
It's kind of like Taco Mac where it has just about everything.

The Grill
This old time diner is a staple of downtown Athens! Get ready to wait about 45 minutes for great good ole fashioned burgers and milkshakes. Definitely worth it if you want to splurge on your calorie count!

Johnny's New York Style Pizza
If you are looking for a pizza joint, this is definitely the place to go! The pizza slices are massive and can be a whole meal. It has music and trivia, and is a go-to!

Marker 7
If you are looking for a seafood restaurant, look no further! Marker 7 has the best chowders, plates, and more. It's well priced for such great seafood!

The Sultan
If you are ready to be a little adventurous come to the Sultan and try some Middle Eastern cuisine! The owners make everything from scratch, and there isn't a plate that isn't great! Try something new with this great restaurant!

Agua Linda:
If y'all are looking for Mexican food this is the place to go! The chips and salsa's alone are worth the visit!
If you are looking for the more common Mexican places, Athens has Chipotle, Barbaritos and Willy's.

Cali n Tito's
I know there's already a Mexican suggestion up, but this place is so good! It's cheap and is a hang out spot for UGA students!

Desserts
Athens has some great restaurants, but also has a ton of dessert options. Try Insomnia Cookies, Gigi's Cupcakes, Pauley's Crepe Bar**, Ike and Jane**. Also try the brand new Zombie Donuts!

Nice Dinner
If you want to have a nice dinner with the team, try out Last Resort Grill, DePalma's Italien), or Porterhouse Grill. I would highly recommend making reservations if you plan on eating at one of these restaurants.

Saucehouse BBQ
You honestly can't come to the South and not experience the cuisine here. This is some great BBQ and can feed the whole team!

Ted's most Best
Last but definitely not least on the list. This is a staple of mine to go to after football games. It has just a little bit of everything (mainly pizzas, calzones, and salads), but it has a great environment and I would definitely recommend!
